2025 Recap

Whew. 2 full years of blogging. I'll be honest, there are some months when this 'just for fun' venture feels more like work than play. I love reading, but I can't always anticipate months where I just won't have as much time as others; and in the past I've mapped out what books I'm going to read months in advance, leaving little room for spontaneous reading.

That being said, I have learned a lot about myself as a reader through the beginning of my blogging journey. I tend to gravitate towards the same genres, and really have to force myself to step out. My categorization specifications have ensured variety, which keeps the process exciting. Each month feels like a fresh slate, and I just adore hearing from fellow readers (with comments, recommendations, or just correspondence). It is my favorite thing when I recommend a book to someone and they end up loving it. If I was Buddy the Elf, I would answer the phone with "Recommending books is my favorite".

Once again, I summed up my year in one post by the rating I gave each book, along with the link to the original post you can read about it in.
